The Tooth Fairy

In a lot of cultures, the Tooth Fairy is not a fairy, but a "little mouse" or rat. This wandering merchant NPC was inspired by this folklore character : he goes around human houses and takes their fallen teeth, to use as a private currency for his niche business. I'm not sure this is a sound strategy, business-wise, but I'm not sure a mouse who goes around stealing teeth is very sane either.  Or maybe he's an actual fairy, in which case he doesn't have to explain anything.
